Formworks Westside Cycling Classic

As you saw, Jeff Clarkson won the Junior Men's Championship. Great team work by the young guys, they just took turns attacking, and it was Jeff who got away with Kevin Thorpe (Devo, the other strong team), so Evan and Kurtis covered the moves after that, the break pulled away, then Jeff rode away from him on the hill to solo in.
Junior women, Annie Ewart was in her first provincial level race, in the combined Cat 4 and Junior women's race she made it into a 5 rider break that went off the second time up the hill and worked with that pack until the last lap, she lost contact just at the top of the hill, but stayed ahead of the chasers to take silver in the Junior Women's race. Junior women is ages 17-18, Annie will be 14 in July!
