Craig joins Aviawest-Rocky Mountain (now Team Aviawest) for 2007 also making a transition to road from a strong MTB racing background. Born and raised in Smithers, Craig moved to Victoria after graduating high school to attend the University of Victoria . He completed two years of general sciences then switched to Business and finished his Bachelor of Commerce in the summer of 2006. He is looking forward to devoting all of his time and energy to cycling in 2007.

Frederic is a perseverant, hard working athlete who enjoys physical and intellectual challenges. Originally from Quebec , he is completing his 3rd year as an undergraduate mechanical engineering student at UVic and joins Team Aviawest for select road events. He brings eleven years of mountain and road racing experience to the team, having earned several titles and taken part in many big events.

Robin is an all-round rider and a key member of the team. He is always polite and always willing to lend a helping hand. He has been known on the team for setting up team mates with great lead outs for the final sprint.

Matthew Cottrell is originally from Gibsons BC. Matt has been competing in National Mountain Bike races at the elite level for the past 3 years. Matt was sidelined last year due to an accident where he was struck by a car while on a training ride. 2007 will be prove to be Matt’s come back year. As well as a full season of mountain bike races, Matt looks forward to competing and supporting his team in the coming season’s road race events.

Evan will join the junior ranks in 2007 after a stellar 2006 where he was on the podium at every BC Championship event in the U-17 category. In 2007-08 Evan is looking to make a big impact on the Junior racing scene.

Nic Hamilton joins the Elite Team this year after riding with the Development Program in 2007 as a transition into cycling from an athletic background that included playing University football and rugby. He reached many podiums in 2007 and gained important momentum which will only continue to roll through 2008. He is a driven athlete, very committed to do what it takes to achieve both team and individual results.

Kurtis competed in his first full season of cycling last year after switching from an illustrious junior triathlon career. A bit shaky during early season races, Kurtis steadily improved throughout the summer, winning Cat 3 at Atomic Road race and achieving his Cat 2 status by the end of the year. Kurtis hopes to build upon last year's experience and to excel in Cat 2 and at U23 Nationals. A University of Victoria Science student, Kurtis looks forward to summer when he can really focus on full time training and racing.
