 The BC Cancer Foundation is holding a “Tour of Courage Community Bike Ride” on September 23, 2007 in Vancouver. The event will be led by cancer survivor and legendary (Seven-Time) Tour de France champion, Lance Armstrong. This unique event is for adults and kids who want to have fun and join the fight against cancer.
We (Annie Ewart ~13 years and Craig Logan ~15 years) have registered to ride the 90 km route with Lance and all others who achieve their fundraising goal.
Together, we have set the goal of raising $5000, as we both have family members who have been impacted by cancer.
As two junior team members of the Aviawest–Rocky Mountain Cycling Team (now Team Aviawest), based in Victoria, B.C., we are very motivated to raise funds for the Cancer Foundation and hopefully get to meet our cycling hero as a result of our efforts and your support.
As a bonus, we’re also hopeful to be among the first 200 individuals to fundraise this much and be invited to spend an evening with Lance Armstrong, an exclusive opportunity to hear his message of leadership, hope and inspiration.
